I was going to put a battery disconnect on my Mercedes Optima battery but the post is too small for the one I got. So I checked out online stuff, ok cheap but I have to ship....time.... and then I checked NAPA...... $25 for that...each??? They are $4 a pair online.

Go to Autozone and get them there. They are common stock.

Parts prices amaze me. Even places like autozone/O’Riellys sometimes charging twice what amazon charges for the exact same part from the exact same brand. Madness.

I feel like increasingly B&M stores have given up on competing with online stores, and mainly try to gouge people who don’t want to wait a day or two to get something from Amazon.

And that goes even worse for dealerships. I just paid $150 online for a part that the dealership wanted $900 for.

Copper.... shove a penny in there, worked on my prelude for the whole 3 years i had it.

it’s soft enough to bend around the post.

Of course some dealerships do sell online. I recently bought a new gas cap for my car which came from a Volvo dealership parts department in Arizona that was selling as a third-party seller on Amazon.

We don’t have those, I have NAPA and O’reilly. O’reilly seems to have a bunch of battery terminal stuff. The post on my disconnect is small so I have to shim it I guess, I also have to get a cable to extend the positive off to the and figure out the best way to do that.

Yeah I might even have some copper around as well. I will see, some old pennies not new ones!

I might have copper, or I can get a scrap.

That’s gotta be a mistake. They are less than $2 at O’Reilly!

I just checked on my ProLink account. Check the fine print. That’s a box of 25.

i would try to stick to lead if possible. Possible galvanic corrosion in the lead, copper, lead, copper connection.

Yeah the price as it turns out, was for 25, so I should be able to get one for a couple bucks!
